Postcrossing around the Globe

Look what arrived on the 19th January..one of the Travelling Notebooks I am taking part in within the Postcrossing forums... Also, today I received two postcards.   DE-5880559   US-4435754   I am now able to send 18 cards...how exciting! However, I do currently have SEVEN expired cards. I am rather sad about that, as the oldest is March 2016. I will be sending them with the new eighteen I have just got the addresses for. Today is Bank Holiday Monday or Easter Monday and sadly I am working this afternoon. However, this morning I thought that I would write some postcards and pop then in the post on my way to work. Ten Postcrossing postcards making their way to a new home!

Nothing much has happened with the cards that I have sent. Only one has been registered this month so far! I must hope that the rest are not lost in the Postal Oblivion! On the 5th February: My postcard GB-503310 to Icebloom in United States of America has arrived! It reached its destination in 22 days after traveling 5,483 km ! However; one of the Travelling Notebooks I signed up for has arrived and I am currently working on it. I really need to finish it, so I can show you all what it looks like!

What a couple of weeks...I have been swapping via Instagram and I have had been told where my cards have been received! Also I have received my order from MOO and I am now the proud owner of some MOO postcards. Sadly it would have been cheaper to buy more; but I thought that I would start off with ten and see how they go! Let's start with the cards I have sent: GB-498586 to tsj in Finland has arrived! It reached its destination in 14 days after traveling 1,823 km ! GB-492141 to sedem in Turkey has arrived! It reached its destination in 40 days after traveling 2,910 km ! GB-498587 to beth418 in Hong Kong has arrived! It reached its destination in 13 days after traveling 9,644 km ! GB-498579 to ulra in Germany has arrived! My (very expired) postcard  GB-417120  to  Kimbrajoy  in  United States of America  has arrived! It reached its destination in  269 days  after traveling  7,486 km ! She had moved and she received the card a while ago! I am glad that she got one of the THREE cards I sent!

The holiday season seems to have flown past and I have been unable to blog anything here on my Postcrossing blog; which is a shame really... Today I received these two cards: One from USA - http://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/US-2478062 and the other from Germany - http://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/DE-2589694 Many thanks ladies! I am going to translate the German card and try the dry skin remedy out!!

I received this card today: It is my "TV Dinner Lottery" winner's card! How cool does it look?! This card has made my top ten favourite cards!! Today I found out that the following two postcards had arrived at their new homes safely! GB-379962  was sent to mtnpad  in the USA. The distance that it had travelled was 7,480 km (4,648 miles) and it took the card 12 days to get there!               GB-381934 was sent to moonflyinganny  in Germany. The distance that it had travelled was 547 km (340 miles) and it only took 4 days to get there! Now, I can send another four cards! All exciting! Jemma
