Cards that have found new homes...

Here are some cards that have made their way to their new homes: On Friday 28th December; the card GB-384223 to x_TsukiYo_x in Belarus has arrived! It reached its destination in 18 days after traveling 1,902 km ! x_TsukiYo_x wrote: "Hello, Jemma! Thank you for this nice postcard! I received this card today: It is my "TV Dinner Lottery" winner's card! How cool does it look?! This card has made my top ten favourite cards!! Sent another two cards as the previous post shows that two of my travelling cards has arrived safely! The cards are:  This is card GB-386144 and it is going the USA... This card is GB-386145 and it is going to Finland... As GB is still counting down to GB-4000000 ; I posted in the countdown thread too! J

Since Friday 14th December the following has happened in my Postcrossing world... RECEIVED: JP-344491 This card came from hinako32  in Japan. The card travelled a distance of 9,412 km (5,848 miles) and it took a total of 10 days to arrive to me. I posted in the countdown - JAPAN Countdown to JP-300000; but it seems that they have already made it! I wonder what their next countdown will be?! NO-70447   This card came from Martin_Roe  in Norway. The card travelled the distance of 1,274 km (792 miles) and it too took 10 days to get me!   I also posted in the countdown - NORWAY Countdown to NO-77777 ; only 7,330 cards to go! I wonder when they will get to it?     RU-1391739         This pretty card came from Cappuccinator  in Russia; the card travelled 3,376 km (2,098 miles) and arrived after 13 days. 13 - 15 days is the average I have found for Russian cards to arrive to me.   RUSSIA Countdown to RU-1000000 ; well it seems that Russia are o

DE-1786476 from Germany...

This is card DE-1786476 from Wolfgang60 in Germany. It travelled 512 km (318 miles) and it took 7 days to arrive. I posted in the countdown GERMANY Countdown to DE-1888888 ...pretty interesting that all the Postcrossers across the world are counting down to a certain number! Today is the day that I will be selecting the winner for my lottery; I am pretty exciting as there are now 28 people interested! I will give until 12.30 GMT and then I will select the winner! Jemma

HU-52053 from Hungary has arrived!

This is HU-52053 from Hungary sent by greenmania . The card travelled 1,444 km (897 miles) and it took seven days to get to me. Hungary are doing a countdown until card HU-55555 ; I posted that I had received card number 52053, however no one has posted in the thread since 24 October 2012. I am currently at: Pretty exciting right? I would if anyone got any special a once in a century postcard  like the one was on the Postcrossing Blog?! Jemma

GREAT BRITAIN countdown to GB-400000 & Lotteries!

Curerntly the GB participants of the Postcrossing Project are counting down to the card numbered GB-400000 We are counting it down in the forums; see the link above! I am also currently running a Lottery - A 'One Directon' fan lottery!; it closes on the 14th! It is my first ever lottery; at the moment only 25 people have entered. I wonder if that is a good thing?! Jemma

Received two more cards today...

Today I registered two cards that I received in yesterday's post: This is card BY-691962 from Showtime  in Belarus. The card is showing a view of Minsk and the footbal stadium. The card travelled a distance of 1,902 km (1,182 miles) and it took 9 days for it to arrive.        This is card DE-1787243  from tentacion111 in Germany. This card is wishing me a "Frohe weihnachten und ein gutes neues jahr"; which means " Merry christmas and a Happy New Year"; cute right?! The card travelled a distance of 984 km (611 miles) and it took only 6 days to arrive!   My card GB-381935 that I sent to Di-di in the Ukraine also arrived yesterday; it had travelled  2,181 km (1,355 miles) and it had taken 10 days to arrive.   So currently; here are my stats as of 11th December:   Exciting right? Sent 100 cards!!

How exciting?! I have sent 100 cards! It could have been more if I did not have those few months off. Any how, I am still happy! This week I have sent out another three cards: GB-383344 to Liselot01 in The Netherlands, GB-384222 to Give in Taiwan and GB-384223 to x_TsukiYo_x in Belarus I also entered some lotteries on the Postcrossing forum: UAE christmas postcard lottery, OLD CARD LOTTERY Just a couple at the moment... Also I have sent out four more cards off to their new homes: Germany - 1 Brazil - 1 USA - 1 Australia - 1 Currently at 98 sent cards! Amazing, only been doing the project for just two years! Jemma

GB-379962 & GB-381934 ARRIVED!

Today I found out that the following two postcards had arrived at their new homes safely! GB-379962  was sent to mtnpad  in the USA. The distance that it had travelled was 7,480 km (4,648 miles) and it took the card 12 days to get there!               GB-381934 was sent to moonflyinganny  in Germany. The distance that it had travelled was 547 km (340 miles) and it only took 4 days to get there! Now, I can send another four cards! All exciting! Jemma

Another card from Germany...

This card arrived yesterday ( DE-1772886 ):   It has travelled all the way from Germany; the sender was Liz1990  and she sent the postcard on the 29th November. The distance was 1,069 km (664 miles) and it took 5 days to get here! Europe's postal service is much better than Britain's - that is the average length it takes a 2nd Class item to travel here! What a novel way to carry cherries? Jemma

Received some cards yesterday..

I received two cards yesterday: RU-1329427 from chernysheva in Russia. It travelled 2,724 km. NL-1550023 from margrietbrouwer in The Netherlands. It travelled 435 km. I have always loved receiving postcards - it is wonderful to hear from people around the world. Jemma

Hello again...

Hello again; Jemma here!   This is my second attempt to having a blog about my Postcrossing adventures. I have been a little inactive when it came to posting; but I have decided that it is time to start again.   I have a Flickr account - the slideshow is the images of postcards that I have sent and received.   I also all excited about blogging once again.
